20 year-old DJ Shade is simply a mystery!
Once a Philosophy student, he attended Literature master classes at La Sorbonne whilst playing in the cosiest and trendiest clubs of the French capital in the evenings.
His surprising knowledge of jazz music (ask him about Ella Fitzgerald, Miles Davies or even Herbie Hancock's standards) has inevitably coloured the deep house this prodigy plays almost every night. He has been resident at "Seduction" every Saturday night at Mezzanine de l'Alcazar for a year and has become one of the finest deep house DJ's on the French scene.
From the Snowtronix Festival or Nancy Jazz Festival to massive venues such as Zenith for Paris' Techno Parade or the Rex Club, Shade is also resident at the Kwality After Party at Batofar together with Dan Ghenacia.
2001 Shade's Year? It could well be, with the release of La Mezzanine de l'Alcazar Compilation on Pschent, with Fabrice Lamy and Shade's selections as well as a single scheduled for summer 2001.
